In my opinion, Mr. Rochester is one of the most dynamic characters in the book. At first, when Jane meets him, he is very inquisitive and wants to know many personal details about her life. Jane is not very apt to answering his ridiculous questions, and he is completely aware of this. This shows him to be dynamic, because he acts in a rude way at the beginning of the book, but changes very dramatically towards the end of the book. He is also a round character, because there are many different sides to him, and Jane never really knows which side she is going to meet.
"Little friend" said he, in quite a changed tone; while his face changed too; losing all of its softness and becoming harsh and sarcastic.." (222)
"I thank my Maker, that in the midst of judgement he has remembered mercy. I humbly entreat my Redeemer to give me strength to lead henceforth a purer life than I have done hitherto!" (456)
This shows his drastic change because he changes from a rude stuck-up man, to a thankful, god blesses man. He states that he thanks Him for providing him with his one true love, and that he is going to live everyday to the fullest because he was provided with this oppurtunity.
Excellent work explaining Rochester as a dynamic character!
